Things to Avoid When You Make A Thank You Card

Thank you card is used in various events. Mainly when you want to give gratitude. This type of card is widely used by people because it makes a good impression and is easy to make. You can make it in your nearby printing shops/card maker in your area. If you want to make a thank you card, then you need to know a few things on this page. Read it until it’s finished.

1. Cluttered Design

Thank you cards are supposed to be simple, easy to read, but still look special and cool. Even so, that doesn’t mean you have to make a messy layout. Instead, you have to be creative to make optimal use of the small card space. Make sure your design is simple enough that you can flexibly organize the words you are going to write. Another benefit you get is that the recipient will be easier to read and understand in a blink of an eye.

2. Too Much Decoration

Putting nice decorations is a good thing, but too much, it will make your card look cramped. Greeting cards that are made need to be made so that they are easy to read and understand. And that is difficult to achieve if you put too many decorations on the thank you cards. Make sure you place no more than two decorations that you can place on the edges of the card.

3. No Colour Combinations

Colour is important in many ways. Colour gives its own impression that is often unforgettable. Likewise, with the making of thank you cards, colour has an important role. Thank you card will stand out more in colour, and it will be more attractive to the eye that sees and reads it. You can use various colour combinations that you like. If you are confused, you can look for references online. There are many online resources available for free. If you are making your own thank you card in an application such as AI (Adobe Illustrator), then you will need to set the colours to CMYK. That way, you will get a more accurate colour result and match what your eye saw when designing.

4. Small/Large Fonts

Font size determines the legibility of the words you will write on your thank you card. If you write words in a small size, people will have difficulty reading them. Likewise, for letters that are too large, you will run out of space to write words. So, make sure the letters you write are standard sizes and can be read easily by the eyes of normal people in general.

5. Thin Material

The thin card material will make your thank you cards not last long. A thick and rigid card will be stronger than a thin one. If you write directly with the marker, a thicker card will hold the ink firmly so it doesn’t penetrate. Unlike thin cards, they are easy to penetrate and tear. So, make sure you choose the right size card thickness for your needs. Good luck!
